Privacy notice
Last updated: 6 September 2026. This notice describes the website as currently configured.
Reading Lyniq
You do not need an account to read public stories. Search terms filter the available article collection and may appear in the page address. Hosting infrastructure processes technical request information to deliver and protect the service.
Newsroom accounts
For invited team members we store names, email addresses, password hashes, roles, session records, login attempts and editorial actions. Passwords are hashed. A secure, HTTP-only session cookie supports sign-in. Author names are public on published originals; account emails are visible to the newsroom owner.
Hosting and analytics
Lyniq is hosted on Vercel, using the existing PostgreSQL service. Newsroom records are isolated from community records in a separate database schema. Hosting and analytics features are subject to the provider’s service configuration and policies. No additional advertising tracker or Google Analytics integration has been added. A change to tracking or newsletter services will require an updated notice and any applicable consent mechanism.
Newsletter
The newsletter is a placeholder. It does not currently accept or store email subscriptions.
External publishers
Following a source link takes you to a separate website with its own cookies, privacy practices and terms. We do not control those sites.
Retention and requests
Editorial records are retained to operate the newsroom and maintain accountability. Invites expire after seven days; unused expired invitations cannot create accounts. Revoking a team member removes newsroom access and active sessions, while preserving published authorship. The operator must publish a verified privacy contact and retention schedule before the full editorial launch.
